PT Dental Hygienist - single column, friendly office

Thursday/Friday dental hygienist for small established general dentistry practice.

See patients Thursdays 10-5 and Fridays 8-12.

Single-column hygiene, with 1-hour appointments.

Must be knowledgable on Dexis/Dentrix. We use Kavo handheld X-ray units. AZ hygiene license and X-ray certification required.

Pay $43-45/hr DOE and will see a raise after 6 months if both parties are happy.

Our office is friendly and supportive. No rushing. We'd love to hire someone reliable who matches that feeling. 

Responsibilities:
Gather patient information and health background
Take x-rays when necessary
Prepare the work area for procedures
Clean and polish patients’ teeth and gums
Educate patients on good oral hygiene habits
Update patient records
Sterilizing dental instruments and equipment
Restock treatment areas

Qualifications:
Associate degree or bachelor's degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program
Current state license and x-ray certification
Excellent understanding of dental hygiene procedures
Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques
Excellent communication skills
