DENTAL HYGIENIST

We are seeking a part time registered dental hygienist to join our 20+ year established private dental practice. The ideal dental hygienist candidate will conduct new patient screenings, provide prophylaxis and periodontal scaling and root planning, as well as have an outgoing personality and a passion for providing excellent customer service.

Dental Hygienist Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide prophylaxis and periodontal scaling
• Administer local anesthesia as needed
• Conduct initial and periodic patient examinations
• Provide oral hygiene instruction
• Take FMX and periodic x-ray images as needed
• Co-diagnose treatment with dentist in recommending ideal treatment for a variety of dental concerns
• Maintain detailed dental records in Dentrix or similar dental software.

Qualifications:

• Active Arizona Hygiene License: Must hold an active and valid Arizona Hygiene license.
• Prior Experience: A minimum of 2 years of prior dental hygiene experience is required.
• Dental Software: Proficiency in Dentrix is preferred for this position

Days and Hours:

Tuesday and Wednesday 7:30am - 5:30pm (with an hour lunch break 12:30-1:30pm)

Mondays could be an option if more hours are desired by the candidate. We take 4 weeks vacation over the course of the year.

Hygiene appointments are typically scheduled 60min or 90 min depending on treatment.
