We’re on the lookout for an exceptional Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) & Oral/Periodontal Surgery Assistant to join our dedicated, patient-focused practice.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a passionate and skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) with expertise in oral and periodontal surgery. If you’re a detail-oriented, reliable, and friendly team player with a heart for patient care, we want to meet you! Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist dentists with various treatment procedures and oral/periodontal surgeries.
• Set up and break down operatories pre- and post-treatment.
• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
• Provide patients with post-operative instructions for care and recovery.
• Educate patients on effective oral hygiene strategies to promote long-term dental health.
• As needed, perform administrative tasks, including scheduling, billing, and record maintenance.
• Foster positive and professional interactions with patients and team members.

Qualifications

• Valid Registered (EFDA) license in California.
• CPR certification.
• X-Ray certification.
• Experience assisting in oral and periodontal surgeries.
• Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Open Dental, iTero).
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
