Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and documenting findings.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the management of medical records, ensuring accurate documentation of patient information.
Utilize Dentrix software for scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.
Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans based on patient needs.
Review documentation for accuracy and compliance with dental office protocols.
Participate in continuing education to stay current with industry standards and practices.

Skills

Strong knowledge of general dentistry principles and practices.
Proficient understanding of anatomy related to oral health.
Familiarity with medical coding and documentation review processes.
Experience in assisting within a dental office environment is preferred.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral care.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented setting.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing patient records and documentation.
