Who We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a proactive, experienced, and organized Lead Dental Assistant to join our startup dental office. Our ideal candidate is a natural leader with strong clinical skills and the ability to help build efficient workflows and maintain high standards of patient care. You should have a solid background in dental assisting, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Qualifications:
• Proven experience in clinical dental assisting (operative setup, sterilization, chairside support)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to establish and refine office workflows
• Experience mentoring and training team members
• Familiarity with OSHA, HIPAA, and radiological safety standards
• Adaptable, detail-oriented, and patient-focused in a dynamic, startup environment
Responsibilities:
• Clinical Support & Patient Care: Assist during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain accurate clinical records.
• Operatory Setup & Maintenance: Prepare treatment rooms, set up instruments and trays, and ensure all equipment functions properly.
• Sterilization & Infection Control: Manage instrument sterilization, maintain logs, and enforce infection control protocols.
• Equipment & Inventory Management: Oversee equipment maintenance logs, coordinate repairs, and manage supply inventory.
• Office Organization & Workflow Development: Help establish SOPs, optimize patient flow, and set up the office.
• Training & Supervision: Mentor junior assistants and new staff, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
• Administrative Duties: Support scheduling, inventory ordering, and act as a liaison between the clinical team and management.
• Compliance & Safety: Maintain logs for sterilization, equipment maintenance, and emergency preparedness; conduct regular process audits.
