Dental Assistant/Sterilization Tech - Sterling Dental Group - Sterling, IL

Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures- Take and develop dental x-rays- Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation- Assist with dental lab work, including pouring and trimming models- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow
Skills:- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills- Ability to work well in a team environment- Proficiency in using dental software systems, such as CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and Epic- Knowledge of medical coding and insurance billing procedures
Please note that experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required.
