Job SummaryWe are seeking two dedicated and skilled Expanded Duties Dental Assistants to join our team in providing exceptional dental care to our patients. One EDDA is needed at our New Albany office, as well as our Jeffersonville office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general dentistry, with experience in various specialties such as prosthodontics and endodontics. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic and enhancing the patient experience. Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Must be able to place 4 surface fillings.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
Take medical imaging, including X-rays, and ensure proper documentation of patient records.
Perform basic laboratory tasks such as making impressions and fabricating temporary crowns.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain accurate patient records.
Monitor vital signs as needed during procedures to ensure patient safety.

Requirements

Completion of a dental assistant program is preferred.
Proven experience in a dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry practices.
Familiarity with medical terminology, imaging techniques, and dental software (SoftDent and Open Dental experience is a plus).
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
