Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to ensure a comfortable and efficient experience for all patients.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Assess patients' oral health and document findings in medical records.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the management of infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
Utilize dental terminology effectively when communicating with patients and team members.
Support the dentist during procedures by practicing four-handed dentistry techniques.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Stay updated on dental advancements and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Requirements

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in dental assisting skills is preferred.
Strong understanding of dental terminology and infection control practices.
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to treatment.
Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Eaglesoft, is advantageous.
