Dental Hygienist - Springdale Family Dental - Cherry Hill, NJ

Overview
Hygienist needed Monday and Wednesday 4PM-7PM. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team in providing exceptional patient care in a supportive dental clinic environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental terminology and medical terminology, as well as the ability to perform patient assessments and vital sign checks. This role is essential in ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining aseptic techniques.
Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing using appropriate techniques.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans based on assessments.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards.
Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Ensure that all instruments and equipment are sterilized and prepared according to aseptic protocols.
Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide comprehensive patient care.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting is preferred.
Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with medical terminology is essential.
Knowledge of patient care best practices, including vital sign monitoring and aseptic techniques.
Experience working with dental systems and electronic health records is an advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
