Entry-Level Dental Assistant - Giordano Dental - Philadelphia, PA

Giordano Dental is a family dentistry located in South Philadelphia. Dr. Robert Giordano has been in practice at this location for 36 years. We are a fun and caring dental office that values the health and happiness of our patients. We have the best interest for our patients and are honest healthcare workers. We are looking for a dental assistant who can handle a consistent schedule each week. Training for the right candidate can be provided.
The dental assistant performs a variety of patient care and laboratory duties, such as preparing the treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and assisting the doctor during procedures. He or she makes patients as comfortable as possible in the dental chair, prepares them for treatment, obtains their dental records, and instructs patients on post care and general oral hygiene. The dental assistant will prepare materials for impressions and take digital dental x-rays as directed by the dentist.
Part Time
QUALIFICATIONS

X-Ray Certification preferred
One year of experience preferred, but not required
Highly professional and dependable
Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
Communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and staff
Strong computer and internet skills
Experience with dental practice management software a plus
Current CPR certification a plus

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
