Part-time Dental Hygienist (RDH) - Brush Dental - Suite 10, WAXAHACHIE

Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and will play a crucial role in promoting oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing thorough patient assessments, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality care.
Our office is equipped with Isodry, cavitron equipped in each operatory, and Nomad.
The hygienists will be supported by RDAs.
The position will be for one day/week - Tues-Sat available.
More days available in the future or if interested in traveling to other locations.
Duties

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs.
Perform dental cleanings and periodontal therapy while adhering to infection control protocols.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist the dentist during procedures by preparing instruments and materials as needed.
Utilize Dentrix, for scheduling and managing patient records.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficient in patient assessment techniques and understanding of general dentistry principles.
Knowledge of medical coding and familiarity with maintaining medical records.
Strong understanding of infection control standards within a dental setting.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and comfort.
Experience with dental software systems, particularly Dentrix, is preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
