Dental Assistant needed in our Union City, CA dental office

Our outstanding dental practice is seeking an exceptional Dental Assistant for an opportunity to join our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for dental procedures and ensure their comfort throughout treatment

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including suctioning, instrument handling, and material preparation

• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and treatment areas according to infection control protocols

• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed

• Record patient medical histories, treatment plans, and clinical notes accurately

• Manage inventory and order dental supplies as needed

• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care

• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment

• Schedule appointments and assist with front desk duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Completion of a dental assisting program (preferred)

• Current CPR certification

• Dental radiography certification (if applicable by state law)

• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment

Work Environment:

• Clinical setting in a dental office

• Frequent interaction with patients and dental professionals

• May require standing for extended periods and using personal protective equipment (PPE)
