Duties

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
Utilize dental terminology effectively when communicating with patients and team members.
Review medical records and document patient information accurately.
Assist in the management of medical records, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Apply aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
Take vital signs as needed and record them appropriately.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Collaborate with dentists in general dentistry procedures and pediatric care.
Perform documentation review to ensure accuracy and completeness of patient records.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting, preferably within a dental clinic.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology relevant to the field.
Familiarity with general dentistry practices and pediatric dentistry is highly desirable.
Ability to perform vital signs assessment and maintain accurate documentation.
Proficient in aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage patient records efficiently.
A valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist is required.
