Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Portland, OR
Clive Endodontics, is seeking an experienced Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our dedicated team. This is a part-time position, with help needed on either Monday-Tuesday or Thursday-Friday. Job Title: EFDA (Expanded Functions Dental Assistant) Location: Portland/Milwaukie, OR Employment Type: Part-Time (Monday-Tuesday -or- Thursday-Friday) Responsibilities: Assisting the endodontist in various dental procedures, including root canal treatments, retreatments, and apicoectomies Taking digital radiographs (X-rays) and CBCT scans Assisting with patient management, including updating medical records, and maintaining accurate treatment notes and reports, providing post-treatment care instructions Adhering to infection control protocols, sterilization guidelines, and safety standards Placing temporary restorations following RCT Cleaning rooms Providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment for patients Qualifications: Valid EFDA certification or ability to obtain within 2 months Minimum of 1 year of experience as an dental assistant in an endodontics (Preferable) or general dentistry setting Proficiency in assisting with endodontic procedures, including root canal therapy Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and equipment commonly used in endodontics Ability to take accurate dental radiographs Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and the dental team Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively Commitment to maintaining a high standard of infection control and safety protocols Familiarity with dental software and computer skills is a plus We offer a competitive hourly pay combined with a daily bonus system.
