Job Overview We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) licensed in Tennessee with current radiology certification to join our patient-focused team. CPR certification is required. Schedule: Monday 8am-2pm, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 7am-3pm Compensation: Based on experience This role is cross-trained to support both clinical and front desk responsibilities, and includes occasionally assisting with surgical procedures. While surgical experience is preferred, we’re happy to provide on-site training for the right candidate. Duties Greet patients, manage check-in/check-out procedures, and ensure a welcoming front desk experience. Collect payments and provide information on available financing options. Handle inbound and outbound calls, responding to new patient inquiries and scheduling appointments. Pre-educate prospective patients and assess candidacy for services offered by the practice. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and ensuring patient comfort. Create and present patient treatment plans, clearly explaining procedures, timelines, and available payment or financing options Provide hands-on support during complex surgical procedures, maintaining efficiency and focus throughout. Anticipate the doctor’s needs to facilitate seamless procedures; proficiency in four-handed dentistry is highly valued. Accurately manage and update patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor and document patients’ vital signs to ensure safety during treatment. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, pre- and post-operative care, and ongoing maintenance. Operate medical imaging equipment as needed to support diagnostics and treatment planning. Collaborate with the clinical and administrative teams to maintain smooth day-to-day operations. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a dental practice. Surgical setting is preferred. Knowledge of medical records management. Experience preferred but open to training in X-rays, CBCT scans, dental records, and digital scanning. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate patient records. Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and team members. Ability to adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards. TN Registered Dental Assistant with radiology certification and CPR certification.
