Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Nampa, ID

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to provide exceptional patient care. Your role will involve assisting with various dental procedures, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring the comfort of our patients. Duties: - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are readily available - Assist the dentist during dental procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and providing retraction as needed - Take and develop dental x-rays using proper techniques and safety measures - Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create digital impressions for restorative procedures - Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols - Provide chairside assistance during procedures, including but not limited to fillings, extractions, and root canals - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care instructions - Perform basic dental laboratory duties such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns - Record accurate medical documentation in patient charts, including vital signs and treatment plans - Assist with pediatric patients, ensuring their comfort and providing a positive dental experience Experience: - Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required - Proficiency in taking dental x-rays and utilizing CAD software for digital impressions - Knowledge of dental anatomy, systems, and terminology - Familiarity with Eaglesoft or other dental practice management software - Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques - Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively educate patients on oral hygiene practices - Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals If you are a dedicated Dental Assistant looking to join a dynamic team that values patient care and professional growth, we encourage you to apply.
