About Us We are a four operatory office. Recently a second doctor was onboarded and our office hours extended. We are seeking a second hygienist to match our doctorsâ schedules. Our patient base is primarily Medicaid, however we do accept private insurance and cash pay patients. The environment is fast paced - seeing up to five patients per hour. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, perform dental hygiene procedures, and assist in the overall operation of the dental clinic. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and patient assessment techniques. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with dentists and other staff to ensure a positive experience for all patients. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages. Treatment plan and perform laser and LAA procedures Facilitate whitening appointments. Take and review dental imaging, including X-rays, to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment planning. Monitor vital signs and maintain accurate dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Conduct patient assessments to identify oral health issues and develop appropriate care plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care. Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Document treatment provided and review documentation for accuracy. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care and office operations. Qualifications Valid Idaho dental hygiene license. Knowledge of dental coding, dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control standards. Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable. Strong skills in chairside assisting and familiarity with dentistry practices. Ability to perform patient care duties effectively while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient interactions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail in documentation review. Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of dentistry.
