Permanent Dental Assistant Job in CA
Pay: $23-27.50/hour, DOE Schedule: Up to 15-16 days per month, Monday through Friday , with Some Saturdays & Sundays. * PLEASE NOTE , this position does require traveling to our 5 locations we offer ortho services throughout the month, dependent on the monthly ortho schedule. The 5 locations include: East LA, Pico Rivera, Lynwood, Inglewood, Westchester. Experience: Minimum 1 year of ortho experience. About the Role : We are a fast-growing dental company with offices located in East Los Angeles, Inglewood, Lynwood, Pico Rivera, and Westchester. Our state-of-the-art dental practice is seeking a talented & enthusiastic Orthodontic Assistant. Key Responsibilities: The core duties include, but are not limited to: Perform orthodontic adjustments Prepare teeth for bonding and debanding Assist in the placement and removal of appliances Sterilize instruments and operatories Take digital radiographs and full records Take alginate impressions Fixed retainer fabrication and cementation Bracket set-up/placement Charting of patient information Impressions for study models Placement of space maintainers Communicate with patients regarding treatment and oral hygiene Maintain and manage patient records in compliance with HIPPA Select and pre-size orthodontic bands & arch wires prescribed by the orthodontist Remove and re-cement properly contoured and fitting loose bands that are not permanently attached to any appliance Assist orthodontist with orthodontic treatment Encourage, educate, and motivate patients to follow the recommendations of the doctor.
