Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Visalia, CA

We are a warm, friendly, and patient-centered pediatric dental office dedicated to creating positive dental experiences for children of all ages. Our team values compassion, teamwork, and high-quality care, and we are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. The Registered Dental Assistant will support our pediatric dentist by providing exceptional chairside assistance, helping maintain a safe and welcoming environment for young patients, and ensuring efficient daily operations. The ideal candidate is cheerful, reliable, and loves working with children. Prepare treatment area by sterilizing area and instruments and gathering needed supplies Verify insurance eligibility (frequency, FL, x-rays, sealants, etc.) Prepare patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating and draping patient Provide diagnostic information by taking radiographs Provide instrumentation by positioning instruments for dentist's access, pass instruments, and suction Educate patients and parents/guardians by giving oral hygiene instructions, answering questions and requests Document dental care services by charting in patient records, maintaining accurate documentation Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations Complete all tasks accurately and efficiently within allocated time frames Perform various tasks required to ensure efficient, reliable and sterile office functioning High school diploma Registered Dental Assistant license Sealant and coronal polishing certificate CPR certification Ability to use dental technology and electronic health record programs Ability to type 30 wpm with accuracy Ability to read, write, hear and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with tact, perseverance, and discretion Ability to interact with employees and members of the general public in a professional, efficient manner Ability to communicate with a high degree of professional courtesy, tact and clarity Ability to efficiently manage time, schedule tasks and work independently to complete job duties and manage multiple priorities without constant supervision and direction Ability to keep information confidential Ability to work enthusiastically and energetically with all groups of people, including dentists and staff Ability to be flexible as the needs of the department change Organizational skills and ability to multi-task Ability to travel in accordance with any requirements of the position (must possess valid California Driver's License and proof of liability insurance) Knowledge of office equipment operations Associate of Arts (AA) degree with a focus on business or science Fluency in Spanish Competitive pay based on experience Benefits package (medical, dental, vision, PTO and sick leave) Opportunities for professional growth and continuing education A supportive, fun, and family-oriented work environment Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid sick time Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
