Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring a positive first impression. Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software, coordinating with clinical staff to optimize daily workflow. Verify insurance coverage and benefits by conducting insurance verification. Manage patient records meticulously, including documentation review, and updating electronic health records (EMR systems), while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette; respond promptly to patient inquiries regarding appointments, billing, or treatment plans. Support front desk operations by performing clerical tasks such as data entry, medical records, and managing office supplies to keep the office organized and efficient. Skills Proven experience in medical or dental office administration with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical billing practices. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills (including 10-key typing). Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and accurate record keeping. Exceptional customer service abilities coupled with professional phone etiquette; bilingual skills are a plus for serving diverse patient populations. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy clinic environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor. Prior clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred.
