Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a friendly atmosphere that encourages trust and comfort Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance claims processing with systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including collecting payments and explaining treatment plans Maintain accurate and organized dental records and documentation review to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries promptly and courteously Assist with medical billing, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and Medicare claims to support accurate financial transactions Handle office administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, copying, and managing electronic health records (EHR systems) like eClinicalWorks or Meditech Coordinate patient intake procedures and ensure all necessary forms are completed accurately before appointments Support office management by maintaining supplies, managing appointment schedules, and ensuring a clean, organized front desk environment Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic or medical office environment is highly preferred Demonstrated proficiency with dental terminology, medical terminology, and health information management systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Athenahealth Experience with insurance verification processes and medical billing/coding (ICD-10/ICD-9/CPT) is essential Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in bilingual settings is a plus Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism at all times Previous office management or administrative support experience in healthcare settings will be advantageous Join us to make a difference in patientsâ lives by providing top-tier administrative support in a vibrant dental practice.
