Responsibilities Conduct thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Perform initial patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current symptoms Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while ensuring strict adherence to infection control protocols Review and update medical records accurately in EMR systems like Eaglesoft maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, providing chairside assistance with aseptic technique and dental instruments Skills Proficiency with dental software systems including Eaglesoft for documentation and scheduling Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and medical coding practices Experience with pediatric dentistry and working with pediatric patients in a compassionate manner Ability to perform vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and patient assessment effectively Skilled in dental assisting techniques such as chairside assisting, documentation review, and maintaining aseptic technique Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times Excellent communication skills to educate patients about oral health care and treatment plans Join us in making a difference by providing top-tier dental care that transforms smiles!
