Sign On Bonus- $3,000 The primary role of the Dental Assistant is to support clinicians in delivering the Relationship Practice Experience (RPE) , thereby fostering Patients for Life (PFL) . Dental Assistants perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties to ensure efficient, high-quality dental treatment. Dental Assistants must collaborate effectively with co-workers, specialty dental assistants, patients, and front office staff by communicating constructively and positively. Successful Dental Assistants actively listen, consider feedback objectively, maintain commitments, keep others informed of work progress, and address problems constructively to identify practical solutions. Specialty Dental Assistants: If assigned to specialty areas, including Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Periodontics, or Pediatric Dentistry, will primarily support clinicians in that specialty and may require additional training. Key Responsibilities 1. Perform duties in accordance with the applicable stateâs dental auxiliaries outline of permitted duties. 2. Participate actively in relationship practice by keeping patients focused on optimal treatment while attending to their individual needs. 3. Escort patients to and from the front desk and introduce them to other team members as appropriate. 4. Communicate with front and back-office teams to ensure the clinicianâs schedule runs smoothly and efficiently. 5. Maintain a clean and welcoming environment. 6. Perform disinfection and sterilization practices in accordance with OSHA and CDC regulations and guidelines for instruments, equipment, and treatment areas. 7. Prepare patients for treatment and assist the clinician during procedures. 8. Complete radiographs and intraoral photographs as directed by the clinician. 9. Prepare tray setups for procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory. 10. Keep patientsâ mouths dry and clear using suction or other devices. 11. Instruct patients on postoperative care and general oral hygiene as directed. 12. Record patient charting and clinician notes accurately in the digital chart. 13. Support patient care by presenting treatment records, consents, and health histories to the clinician before treatment. 14. Ensure equipment is maintained according to manufacturer guidelines. 15. Work closely with the Clinical Coordinator to maintain adequate clinical supplies. 16. Utilize technology effectively and provide guidance to others as needed. 17. Participate in morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings. 18. Model company culture, values, standards, and best practices based on the âWe Believes.â 19. Demonstrate stewardship of the Passion Dental Brand in all decisions. 20. Implement the Relationship Practice Experience process to foster Patients for Life. 21. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor; communicate respectfully with all colleagues. 22. Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable state, federal, and regulatory requirements. 23. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. Completion of state-mandated training, certification, licensure, or registration. Specialty dental assistants must possess a valid driverâs license and automobile insurance (or reliable alternate transportation) and be able to travel to multiple offices as required. Preferred Qualifications One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
