Orthodontic Assistant We are looking for a full-time Orthodontic Assistant, who will assist the doctor in the clinic with the following: Greeting and seating patients Assisting the orthodontist at the chair while they are engaged in patient treatment Anticipating the orthodontist's needs and being prepared for next steps Removal and placement of arch wires iTero scanning Tooth preparation prior to bonding Accurate computer charting Sterilization of chairs and instruments Taking patient records (X-rays, photos, etc.) Accurately explaining to parents and patients the treatment completed Providing oral hygiene instructions We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, hard-working, and kind individual for our growing orthodontic practice in Leesburg, VA. Applicants should be caring, self-motivated, and enjoy working in a supportive team environment. Requirements: Friendly, team-oriented, and compassionate personality Strong work ethic and a desire for ongoing learning and personal growth Prior orthodontic experience is required. Must have at least 1 year of experience working in an orthodontic setting . Schedule: 3-4 patient days with up to 1-2 additional administrative day per week. We do see patients until 6:00 PM on select Mondays and Tuesdays. Hours will be: 9-5, 10-6, 8-5 or 8-2, depending on the day. Occasional Saturdays required (approx. 7 per year from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM). Applicants must be available to work until 6:00 PM on patient days.
