Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Oral Surgeon Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist our oral surgeon in providing quality care to patients undergoing oral surgery procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping patients achieve optimal oral health. Responsibilities: Prepare treatment rooms for oral surgery procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and instruments are ready for use. Assist the oral surgeon during procedures by handing instruments, maintaining a clear field of vision, and anticipating the surgeon's needs. Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the oral surgeon. Provide patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene instructions. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment following OSHA and CDC guidelines. Assist with front office duties such as scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited dental assistant program. X-ray certification preferred. Previous experience in oral surgery or a surgical setting is highly desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient care and safety.
