Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, performing dental cleanings, and supporting overall dental health initiatives. This role requires a professional with strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of dental procedures and patient management. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to ensure a comfortable and efficient experience for all patients, including pediatric and general dentistry cases. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth in accordance with clinical protocols. Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates. Assist in patient assessment by reviewing medical histories and documenting dental conditions. Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Support pediatric dentistry procedures with specialized techniques such as four-handed dentistry. Operate dental imaging equipment to obtain necessary radiographs while maintaining infection control standards. Maintain accurate medical records using PMS systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance. Assist with chairside procedures, including medical imaging, documentation review, and medical coding. Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety. Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans based on patient assessments. Ensure proper documentation review for treatment accuracy and completeness. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist. Familiarity with dental office software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar PMS systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical terminology is essential. Experience with pediatric dentistry and pediatrics-specific procedures is a plus. Prior experience in dental assisting or chairside assisting will be advantageous. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations is required.
