Panhandle Pediatric Dentistry is a large multisite private dental practice looking for a Dental Assistant to join our dedicated team of dental professionals! If this sounds like you, submit your resume today! Responsibilities Welcome patients in the dental office. Prepare patients for treatments or checkups. Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed. Sterilize instruments according to regulations. Able to efficiently perform four-handed dentistry. Able to properly chart dental dentition (treatment planning). Able to take digital diagnostic x-rays. Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. Keep the dental operatories clean and well-stocked. Must have's to be successful Proven experience as a Dental Assistant. Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and health & safety regulations. Ability to prioritize, organize and complete tasks in a timely and independent manner. Ability to work cooperatively with management, staff, and patients. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Computer skills and knowledge in Electronic Health Records. Strong communication skills to accurately deliver necessary information to dentists, patient, parent/guardian and other staff Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable. Ability to assist with preventive, therapeutic and surgical clinical procedures. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Qualifications Must have a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
