Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments by providing chairside support. Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment areas in accordance with infection control protocols. Take and develop X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Manage patient records and medical documentation using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging as needed. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance workflow efficiency. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices. Support pediatric dentistry procedures with a focus on creating a comfortable environment for young patients. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow. Skills Proficiency in EMR systems, particularly Dentrix and Eaglesoft. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Experience in chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and general dentistry procedures. Ability to take X-rays and perform medical imaging tasks accurately. Understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control measures. Experience with medical documentation, coding, and maintaining medical records. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
