Job Overview I am seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dental Hygienist to join my boutique private dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment. This role offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative team focused on delivering high-quality dental services, cosmetic & restorative dentistry, Invisalign, and utilizing advanced EMR systems and adhering to strict infection control protocols. I am looking for a hygienist to work every Thursday 7:45 am - 5:15 pm. Eventually job will expand to every Tuesday & Thursday. As we grow as a practice, your hours have the potential to grow as well. Must be willing to iTero scan every new patient and take FMXs. Your hygiene column would be a mix of recall prophy patients, SRPs, perio maintenance, and new patients. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing to promote optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review. Take dental intraoral x-rays & pano, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort. Be willing to learn CBCT image capture as well. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Recommend beneficial products to patients. Review and document patient records accurately within EMR systems, like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Be willing to learn a new EMR and adapt quickly. Maintain strict infection control standards following aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations. Manage documentation review, dental coding, and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations. Requirements Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the state of Florida. Proficiency with electronic medical records and willing to learn a new system and adapt quickly. Experience in general dentistry with a focus on patient care and education, and encouraging patients to start the treatment they need. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and dental records management. Ability to perform vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and documentation review accurately. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients of all ages about oral health. Prior experience in dental office or clinic settings is highly desirable.
