Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Tampa, FL

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix is preferred, along with a background in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry practices. The Dental Hygienist will work collaboratively with our team to promote optimal oral health for patients of all ages. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth Take and record vital signs and medical history assessments Assist with patient education on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans Conduct preliminary examinations, including medical imaging and documentation review Maintain infection control standards through aseptic technique and sterilization procedures Manage patient records accurately using Dentrix Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Support infection control protocols and maintain a sterile clinical environment Qualifications Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations Experience with dental office software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or other EMR systems Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding practices Prior experience in general dentistry; pediatric dentistry experience is a plus Strong understanding of infection control, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures Ability to perform patient assessment, vital signs measurement, and medical imaging interpretation Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration Familiarity with medical records management and documentation review processes Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and confidentiality protocols Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join our team to make a positive impact on patientsâ oral health while working in a supportive and professional environment.
