Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar. Conduct patient assessments and review medical histories. Assist with patient education on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques are followed. Utilize dental software for accurate documentation of patient records and treatment notes. Take and interpret medical imaging, including X-rays, while maintaining radiation safety protocols. Support pediatric dentistry procedures with specialized techniques for childrenâs oral health needs. Collaborate with dentists during procedures Maintain infection control standards according to HIPAA regulations, including sterilization of instruments and proper disposal of waste. Review documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with medical coding standards for billing purposes. Stay current with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and emerging best practices through ongoing professional development. Requirements Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques such as bitewing, periapical, and panoramic imaging. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about their oral health needs.
