Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Leesburg, VA
Overview We are seeking a full time/ part-time dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This role requires a blend of clinical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage appointment scheduling, including coordinating with the dental receptionist to optimize patient flow. Support pediatric patients by creating a friendly and welcoming environment during their visits. Implement aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment. Collaborate with the dental team in prosthodontics procedures as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred. Previous experience in a dental setting, is an advantage. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and patient information. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when needed. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff members.
