Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) - Riverview Dental - Columbus, OH

We’re looking for a full-time EFDA who can step in with confidence, support the clinical team, and help deliver consistently high-quality care. You will work closely with our dentists and other members of our dental team to promote oral health and educate patients. If you have a compassionate personality, this is the place to be! Our office offers: Competitive pay: $35-40/hour , based on experience. No evenings or weekends Comprehensive, supportive dentist and helpful staff Hours: M-TH 7:00 - 4:30; Fri 7:00 am- 11:30 pm. Continuing Education, such as CPR and Blood Borne Pathogens training Benefits are available for full-time employees. Responsibilities: Perform expanded function duties, including restorative procedures, impressions, provisional restorations, sealants, and other assigned clinical tasks within state guidelines. Assist the dentist during a full range of procedures with excellent four-handed dentistry skills. Prepare, organize, and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for efficient workflow. Take and process digital X-rays with accuracy. Provide clear and supportive patient communication before, during, and after procedures. Maintain strict infection control standards and adhere to OSHA and practice protocols. Document treatment notes accurately in the practice management system. Support the front desk as needed for smooth daily operations. Requirements: Active EFDA certification/license as required by the state. Minimum of 1 year of chairside experience required. Strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control. Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
