Registered Dental Assistant This position will encompass several areas of activity, with the major component devoted to patient care and clinical support for Lyon College School of Dental Medicine (LCSDM) patient care clinics, working alongside student and faculty doctors in an educational clinic environment, supporting student doctorsâ educational clinical journey, and supporting the LCSDM activities required to deliver quality patient care. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting dental students and faculty in the simulation clinic and live patient clinics, managing dispensary and sterilization activities, utilizing various software systems for lab tracking, sterile processing, and inventory tracking, and working with administration and business offices to ensure efficient patient care. R espons i b iliti e s Patient Care organize and assist dentists, dental students, dental hygienists, and residents in the delivery of dental procedures in LCSDM operating rooms. guide patients through dental processes prior to treatment, educate patients in oral hygiene instruction, and provide postoperative instructions. Sterile Processing Administrative Support Inventory, Dispensary, and Clinic Maintenance May be required to perform other duties as assigned including but not limited to: support Compliance Officer in maintenance and logging, committee participation, support to Schoolâs leadership team, and special event involvement.
