Responsibilities Assisting dentists during a variety of general and pediatric dental procedures, ensuring a smooth and patient-focused experience . Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials to support efficient and high-quality care . Taking and developing dental X-rays with full adherence to radiographic safety standards. Recording and maintaining accurate patient information , including medical histories and treatment plans. Educating patients on oral hygiene and post-procedure care, promoting long-term dental health . Monitoring patient vital signs and helping to manage dental anxiety with compassion and professionalism. Following aseptic techniques and strict infection control protocols to ensure a sterile and safe environment . Supporting both general and pediatric dental procedures as part of a collaborative team effort . Using Dentrix software effectively for documentation and scheduling to ensure smooth clinical workflows . Requirements Proven experience in dental assisting or completion of an accredited dental assistant program. Knowledge of dental systems, anatomy, and common procedures in general and pediatric dentistry. Proficiency in performing X-rays and understanding infection control measures. Ability to take vital signs accurately and respond appropriately to patient needs. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining clinical documentation. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members. Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to best practices in dental care.
