Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with various dental procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Duties Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including chairside assisting, medical imaging, and vital signs monitoring Operate dental equipment such as 3D scanners, X-ray machines, and other diagnostic tools while adhering to safety protocols Manage medical documentation and records using EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) accurately while maintaining patient comfort Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to ensure accurate documentation Assist with specialized procedures in pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, or other areas as required Ensure the clinic environment remains sterile and organized in accordance with infection control standards Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is preferred Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards is essential Experience with dental imaging techniques including X-ray and 3D scanning is advantageous Familiarity with pediatric dentistry procedures and terminology is a plus Certification or training in chairside assisting, aseptic technique, and infection control is preferred Strong understanding of dental anatomy and medical terminology enhances patient care quality This position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting oral health care through comprehensive assistance and patient engagement.
