Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Tampa, FL

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. Days/times will be Mondays-Thursdays 8am-5pm (Fridays off). Minimum 1-2 years of experience. Proficiency in temporary crowns, iTero and Dentrix preferred. We are a patient-focused private dental practice looking for a team player who works well with others. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment specializing in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics, utilizing advanced dental technology and systems. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures including chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are followed Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Record vital signs and medical history, update medical documentation, and manage medical records using Dentrix. Educate patients on dental procedures, post-operative care, and oral health maintenance using appropriate dental terminology Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment in compliance with infection control standards Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and pediatric dentistry is preferred Proficiency with Dentrix and the iTero is a plus Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, aseptic technique, and anatomy knowledge related to dentistry Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with team members Certification in radiography or X-ray certification preferred.
