Job Summary We are a friendly small business seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations and x-rays. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Assist with appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups using OpenDental or similar systems. Perform basic administrative tasks such as filing, answering phones, and processing patient information. Requirements Previous experience in dental assisting is highly preferred. Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications required Fluency in Ukrainian or any East European language desirable. Our most important expectation is being friendly, a hardworker, team-player, and being willing to learn! Knowledge of infection control procedures and aseptic techniques is essential. Proficiency in using dental software systems such as OpenDental, Dentrix, or Epic for patient management. Strong understanding of anatomy related to dental health and medical coding practices. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
