Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Eldon, MO

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, team-oriented dental assistant to join our office. The ideal candidate has prior experience in the dental field and is proficient in multi-tasking. Dental assistants effectively communicate with patients and the rest of the team to deliver quality dental care to patients. Expanded functions certification preferred. Our office hours are Monday -Thursday 8am-5pm. Responsibilities include, not limited to: Communicate well with patients Take radiographs and perform initial dental assessment Assist hygienist when needed Manage inventory Assist dentist during various procedures including restorations, extractions, and endodontic treatments with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Operate our patient management software, Eaglesoft Take vital signs and medical histories; monitor patient comfort throughout procedures. Manage patient flow efficiently by greeting patients as a dental receptionist when needed and scheduling appointments. Maintain infection control standards and ensure all equipment is properly sterilized following OSHA guidelines. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting; experience with dental assisting is required. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is preferred. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and effectively Experience with pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, or general dentistry is highly desirable. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
