Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure infection control, and support the delivery of high-quality dental care across general and specialized procedures. Experience with electronic health records and a strong understanding of dental terminology are essential for success in this position. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, while adhering to safety protocols. Record accurate medical and dental histories, vital signs, and treatment notes using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic. Maintain strict infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures. Manage medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow when needed. Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry to improve efficiency and patient experience. Ensure all procedures comply with dental terminology standards and medical coding requirements. Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA). Proven experience with dental assisting in a clinical setting, including general dentistry, pediatrics, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic or similar platforms. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical records and documentation. Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely and effectively; experience with 3D scanners is a plus. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Experience with medical imaging, vital signs measurement, and medical documentation is preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively. Bilingual a plus Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
