Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques. Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring proper positioning and safety measures are followed. Manage patient records efficiently using EMR, Eaglesoft, while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient privacy. Monitor vital signs and medical imaging as needed to support comprehensive patient assessments. Provide excellent dental reception services by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and managing medical documentation and records. Support four-handed dentistry practices by working seamlessly with the dental team to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Maintain thorough knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to accurately document procedures and assist in billing processes. Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure. Proven experience in dental assisting within a general or pediatric dentistry setting. Proficiency with EMR systems Eaglesoft, familiarity with medical documentation standards is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental practice. Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
