Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and clinic efficiency. In this vital role, you will provide chairside assistance, manage clinical procedures, and ensure a smooth patient experience from start to finish. You will utilize your knowledge of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and medical documentation to support high-quality dental services. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures, including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry cases. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained. Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans using advanced imaging technology while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Epic, and other dental software platforms for accurate documentation of procedures and patient histories. Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient evaluations. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions in a clear, friendly manner. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing medical records with precision. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by following infection control protocols and sterilization procedures. Assist with the use of advanced tools like the 3D scanner and handle medical coding for billing purposes when necessary. Experience Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry, chairside assisting, and taking X-rays. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques is essential. Experience operating EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft along with familiarity in Epic or similar medical documentation platforms is advantageous. Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security is required. Previous roles involving medical imaging, medical records management, or dental reception are considered valuable assets.
