What You’ll Be Doing (Responsibilities): Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist with procedures, specializing in the fitting, delivery, adjustments of oral appliances (MADs, etc.), injections, and operating specialized pain-relief machinery. Patient Education: Explain sleep apnea, oral appliance therapy, and treatment options to build confidence and trust. Diagnostic Records: Take high-quality dental impressions, intraoral scans, CBCT scans, and diagnostic photos. Case Management: Coordinate Home Sleep Tests (HST), manage follow-ups, and track laboratory cases. Record Keeping: Maintain detailed patient records, including clinical documentation and screening questionnaires. Infection Control: Adhere to strict sterilization standards (OSHA/HIPAA). Qualifications: Experience: 1–3+ years of dental assisting experience preferred. Passion for Health: Strong interest in sleep medicine, orofacial pain, airway health, or medical-dental hybrid dentistry. Skills: Proficiency in digital workflows (scanners, CBCT) and comfortable taking dental impressions. Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills and a compassionate, patient-first mindset.
