Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring infection control, and maintaining accurate medical and dental records. Prior experience with dental Dentrix is preferred, along with a solid understanding of dental terminology and medical documentation. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all supplies are ready for patient care Take dental X-rays while adhering to proper aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols Maintain infection control standards by following HIPAA regulations and proper sterilization procedures Support the use of advanced technology such as 3D scanners for diagnostics and treatment planning Educate patients on oral health care instructions and post-treatment care Skills Proficiency with dental software systems including Dentrix Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control practices within a dental setting Experience with chairside assisting Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely and effectively; familiarity with medical imaging techniques Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry Skilled in aseptic technique and maintaining a sterile environment during procedures Competence in taking vital signs and performing basic patient assessments Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients of all ages including pediatrics This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow within the field of dental healthcare while providing compassionate patient service.
