Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Front Office Assistant and Dental Assistant to join our busy dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of dental procedures and terminology. This dual role involves managing patient interactions at the front desk while providing chairside assistance during dental procedures. Experience with EMR systems such as Eagle soft is preferred. The position offers an engaging environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care across general dentistry. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in/check-out processes using EMR systems like Eagle soft Schedule appointments, confirm patient appointments, and manage patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Collect patient information, update medical and dental histories, and ensure accurate medical documentation Assist with chairside procedures including four-handed dentistry, vital signs measurement, dental imaging (X-ray, 3D scanner), and maintaining aseptic technique Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following infection control protocols Take and develop X-rays; operate medical imaging equipment with proper safety procedures Provide assistance with dental procedures such as prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Maintain inventory of dental supplies and ensure proper storage of materials Educate patients on oral health care and post-treatment instructions using appropriate dental terminology Document procedures accurately in medical records and assist with medical coding as needed Support the dental team with administrative tasks including billing, insurance claims processing, and managing electronic health records Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eagle soft Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control standards in a healthcare environment Experience in general dentistry is beneficial Certification or experience in X-ray operation and chairside assisting (including four-handed dentistry) is desirable Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and medical documentation practices Ability to perform vital signs measurement and operate medical imaging devices safely Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment dedicated to providing comprehensive dental care while supporting the health and well-being of our patients.
