Position Overview We are looking for an energetic, proactive, and highly organized Hygiene Assistant who enjoys staying busy and takes pride in supporting both patients and teammates. This role plays an important part in creating a smooth, positive experience for our patients by bridging communication between the clinical and front office teams. This is not a passive role â weâre looking for someone who is confident, motivated, and eager to learn. Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Clinical Support Assist patients in completing intake forms (health history, chief concerns, dental history) and ensure accuracy Take diagnostic radiographs (must meet state certification requirements) Take digital scans (iTero), photos/intraoral photos, and help discuss findings with patients Scribe during appointments and complete clinical notes Perform coronal polishing, flossing, and fluoride application during prophylaxis appointments, as delegated and permitted by state regulations. Send referrals and patient correspondence Answer patient questions via phone, text, and email Serve as a communication bridge between the clinical and front office teams (know our systems) Help coordinate and schedule patient appointments Operatory & Compliance Break down and disinfect rooms according to OSHA standards Sterilize instruments properly Restock operatories Inform ordering team when supplies are low to ensure office has sufficient supplies in stock Maintain organization and readiness of clinical spaces Administrative & Team Support Audit charts for the next day, next week, next month to ensure we are prepared and organized for our patients Follow through with patient communications Confirm and/or reschedule patient appointments Become proficient in our office systems and software (Dentrix) Participate in team-building activities and continuing education (occasional travel required) âFloatâ to support teammates wherever needed Be prepared and engaged in morning huddle and team meetings What Weâre Looking For Weâre excited to welcome someone who: Is energetic, motivated, and eager to grow Is passionate about healthcare â especially dental health â and enthusiastic about bringing new technologies and services to our patients Is proactive and comfortable communicating with all types of people Accepts constructive feedback with grace â and can also give it respectfully Thrives in a busy, collaborative environment Is highly organized and able to manage multiple responsibilities Brings professionalism, maturity, and emotional intelligence to the team Most importantly, we want someone who genuinely enjoys being part of a supportive, high-performing team and knows how to have fun. Qualifications Dental assisting or hygiene assisting experience preferred X-ray certification (as required by state) Strong computer proficiency (clinical notes, charting, patient communication) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational abilities Why Join Us?
