Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! Duties Greet patients warmly, verify patient information, and schedule appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, answering inquiries and directing calls efficiently Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes including Medicare and other third-party payers Collect payments, process medical collections, and assist with billing procedures utilizing Dentrix and Weave. Maintain accurate dental records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for health information management Assist with patient intake procedures, including updating medical history forms and explaining treatment plans in clear terms Support office management tasks such as electronic filing, data entry, and managing electronic health records including Dentrix Preferred Qualifications Prior clinic or dental office experience is preferred; familiarity with Dentrix scheduling and insurance verification is a plus Proven experience as a Medical or Dental Receptionist with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical coding including CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding standards Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive patient information discreetly in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and clinic management software (Dentrix) and Weave. Typing 30+ WPM. Ability to perform administrative tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and medical billing processes Marketing knowledge including social media management Exceptional phone etiquette, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a busy healthcare environment.
