Job Summary A New Dental office is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental/Surgical Assistant to join our team at a growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and contribute to a positive patient experience. Duties Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including but not limited to, surgical and some restorative/prosthetic procedures. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment before and after use. Perform medical documentation accurately, ensuring all patient records are up-to-date. Take X-rays and utilize medical imaging techniques as required. Operate dental software such as Open Dental for managing patient information and appointments. Utilize 3D scanners for capturing detailed images as part of treatment planning. Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene practices. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure compliance with health regulations. Requirements Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred Proficiency in using dental software applications (Open Dental) is a plus. Familiarity with medical documentation practices and protocols. Knowledge of assisting at Dental Sx procedures is advantageous. Ability to take X-rays and perform basic medical imaging tasks. Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort. Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
