Dental Assistant - Ellis Dentistry Co. - Saint George, UT

We are looking for an outgoing, efficient, and skilled full-time dental assistant to join our awesome team at Ellis Dentistry Co. The ideal candidate should have at LEAST one year of experience dental assisting. He/she should also be knowledgeable in medical terminology, and possess strong organizational skills. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about dentistry and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The work hours include Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30AM-3PM, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30AM-5 or 6PM, and one Friday a month from 8:30AM-noon. Responsibilities: - Assist Dr. Scott Ellis during dental procedures - Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment - Take dental x-rays - Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Maintain infection control protocols and follow aseptic techniques - Assist with medical coding and billing procedures Skills: - Proficient in medical terminology related to dentistry - Experience using Dentrix would be helpful - Ability to assist with various dental procedures, including chairside assisting - Familiarity with medical coding for dental insurance claims - Solid knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology - Capable of taking vital signs accurately We pride ourselves at Ellis Dentistry Co. in creating a customized patient experience, a positive work environment, and having the latest in dental tools and technology.
