Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team at Cosmetic Dentistry of Napa. We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented highly experienced Dental Assistant or RDAEF2 (expanded function assistant preferred) ! In this vital role, you will support the dentist in delivering exceptional patient care by providing chairside assistance, managing medical and dental documentation, and ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient clinical environment. We are a high end fee for service office and excellent customer service is our most important goal. We need an assistant with at least 5-7 years of experience that has positive energy and enthusiasm to help create a welcoming atmosphere for patients of all ages. Our office specializes in cosmetic and full mouth rehabilition dentistry. We are looking for somone to start in 3-4 weeks Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, Invisalign, Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials, ensuring proper aseptic technique and infection control protocols are followed. Take X-ray images, using Dexis / dentrix , while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Take patient photos and scans ( we use an itero and trios 5 scanner) Manage patient records accurately using Dentrix ensuring all medical documentation is complete and compliant with HIPAA standards. Perform chairside assisting tasks including vital signs measurement, updating med hx dental terminology explanation, and providing support during procedures with four-handed dentistry techniques. Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and managing patient flow efficiently. Maintain a sterile environment by following infection control procedures and ensuring all dental tools are properly sterilized. For EF2s- confidently place fillings, try in and cement crowns, adj bite on fillings/ crowns, pack cord Help lead team and check schedule ahead of time and complete chart checks Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Proficiency with Dentrix or willing to learn how to use system Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and aseptic technique. Ability to perform X-ray imaging accurately while maintaining safety standards. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding for documentation purposes. Experience supporting more complex dentistry patients is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and team members.
